Atlas is not my name. It is a choice.

For most of my life, I lived in environments shaped by addiction, violence and chaos. Like many people, I spent years searching for identity and belonging in places that ultimately took more than they gave. Throughout that journey, creativity remained one of the few constants. Whether I realised it or not at the time, making things with my hands became a way of creating structure when everything else felt unstable.

As I grew older, that creativity evolved into a career. I spent years working professionally as a brand strategist and creative director, helping businesses build stories, identities and commercial success. While the work was rewarding, it often existed within a culture of constant consumption, performance and pressure. Over time, I found myself disconnected from the very thing that had drawn me to creativity in the first place — the simple act of making.

Creating BROKEN®CULTURE became an opportunity to return to that foundation. I stepped away from the screen, left behind the pace and noise of city life, and reconnected with materials, nature and process.

Working outdoors with reclaimed materials allowed me to create without briefs, deadlines or expectations. The work became less about strategy and more about presence. Less about selling and more about connection.

Atlas emerged through that process. Not as a character or alter ego, but as a reflection of the person I was becoming. BROKEN®CULTURE represents a shift away from chaos and towards balance, away from reaction and towards intention. I remain curious, creative and untamed by nature, but grounded by a deeper sense of calm, compassion and purpose. In many ways, Atlas is not who I am. Atlas is who I discovered when everything else was stripped away.
