Constructed around a central glowing form repeatedly interrupted by a dominant vertical obstruction, the composition explores the denial of access itself. The textured black sash cuts directly through the illuminated centre, preventing full connection or completion, while repeated X markings across the surface reinforce rejection, restriction and refusal. Light remains present within the work, but is continuously blocked before it can fully emerge.
