Built from a damaged photographic surface of pre-war Ho Chi Minh City, the composition explores destruction, displacement and the permanent loss of belonging caused through conflict. Burnt textures, faded gradients and scorched surface interruption physically scar the city itself, preventing the image from ever fully recovering its original form. The work carries the emotional residue of invasion and collapse, reflecting how once home is destroyed, its identity rarely returns unchanged.
